Our lakeshore was overgrown and prone to erosion during winter storms. The rest of our landscaping was a mix of shrubs chewed to stubs by deer and less tasty bits which grew out of control. The team from backyard reflections created an attractive plan the followed thru with shore stabilization with stones more placed than dumped. Our beach retaining wall was replaced with flat boulders as they made me a boat ramp with flat boulders so we could launch a jet ski or hobbies cat from the yard.. the second phase was the tear out of our existing plant beds. Realigning them to make mowing easier and then placing appropriate plants that deer generally won’t eat. Finally the beds were mulched and lawn leveled and reseeded where damaged by heavy equipment . The staff are all friendly and professional. We have received many compliments from friends and neighbors how much more open and appealing our yard and lakeshore are. Backyard is a bit more expensive than some others but you get what you pay for with this team

From design to completion this team did not miss a beat. I don’t write many reviews. However, in this case, I was so impressed with BR that I am compelled to pass along the great experience we had. They did a landscaping that included flagstone, new paver walkway and rock. They were timely, professional and highly skilled in the laying of the pavers. I recommend you check them out.

A portion of the brick wall surrounding our yard needed to be replaced. A representative from Backyard Reflections came out to talk to us and gave us several options for solutions. He was also a good listener and helped us figure out how we wanted the problem solved. The office was very good about communicating with us and answering questions. The workers who rebuilt the portion of wall were professional and hard-working, and the finished product looks wonderful! I highly recommend Backyard Reflections.

The shoreline at my cabin on Sugar Lake had been deteriorating for some time. Backyard Reflections did a wonderful job restoring that shoreline. They repaired and replaced the Rip Rap including fieldstone boulders at the proper slope to better protect me from the winter ice. They also installed planting beds to further reduce shoreline erosion, and made a much easier sand access to the water. Dan Schaper, the Project Manager and all of the people I had contact with throughout the project were so very nice and did an outstanding job. While the costs was a little higher than other bids, the over all design was clearly better and the products used and installation was outstanding. My family and I are very happy – it looks great and is very functional. Thanks to all at Backyard Reflections!
